Groups for Adults
If you're an adult of any age, married or single, there's something for you to get involved in. For details of all these groups, look for programme cards in church, use the information on this website or contact the church office.
After8s is the 18 - 35 group for St John's. It meets on occasional Sunday evenings after the evening service, from 8.00pm to 9.30pm, for discussion, relaxation, prayer and fellowship. For more details please ask in church or contact us.
This is a group for people in their 30's and 40's, and it meets twice monthly for discussions and socials; to encourage and build friendship and fellowship.
If you fall into this age group please feel welcome to join us. For details of times and locations contact Will Hughes via the church office.
If you live on your own but would like to have some company, we would love to invite you along to Koinonia. This group is for men and women, of all ages, who are single, for whatever reason. Koinonia means to share friendship and fellowship together and the group is open to everyone from our community, whether you attend church or not.
Koinonia meet almost every month and have various speakers on a range of topics. These meetings normally take place in St John's Church Centre, from 3pm to 5pm, on Saturdays. They also go on a number of trips during the year.
St John's Hartford Golf Fellowship Society
The SJHGFS is a long-standing part of our church life, with regular fixtures arranged throughout the season.
We welcome male and female players of all ages, golfing experience and ability (we have a wide range of handicaps). Players of all standards are most welcome with fellowship, outreach and fun being our main aims although, needless to say, its also nice to play and score well occasionally!
Fixtures are detailed on the church calendar.
St John's Arts Ministry
Arts 4U is the name given to our arts ministry at St John's. The group is currently dormant, but you can find out about previous Arts 4U events, including descriptions, photos and pictures in the Arts 4U Archive.
Dee Rollinson's “Light of The World” paintings are on permanent display in the foyer of St John’s Church Centre.
