David Charlton
David first came to St John’s in 2001 when, with his family, he moved to Cheshire to be Headteacher of one of the local secondary schools. Now retired from that role, he still maintains a close contact and interest in the world of education.
David grew up in Birmingham, in a Christian family, and has always attended church regularly. However, as a teenager he realised that following Jesus needed to be the central priority of his life and then this exciting journey began.
He became a Reader in 1992 in the middle of a very tough period of family life. Looking back, he and his wife Rosemary are very thankful that Jesus has walked alongside them every day.
